Kryten 2X4B 523P, or as his crew mates call him, Kryten, has to be my all-time favorite television android. Red Dwarf is slowly catching on in the United States. America is still hooked on shows like "Melrose Place". Come on! Get with it!Anyway, we had some friends that had a video tape connection (somewhere outside of Arizona) that had the entire series. My wife and I became tired of waiting to borrow them, when we found a single, lonely, season 5 tape at a local store. We bought it, and were Dwarfers ever since. Our first joint marital goal was to buy all the Red Dwarf tapes we could find. We now own all 8 seasons + the out takes (aka Smeg Ups & Smeg Outs, Toxic Waste)! Call us nerds I suppose, but at least we're happy nerds!
Kryten is a service mechanoid; a delightful cross between Data from Star Trek and an innocent puppy. Is that how you would describe him? The show is hilarious. If you like your science fiction with a dash of humor, and you haven't seen this gem yet, by all means, check it out!
